Basil Peas on Toast
A water saving alternative to the classic avocado on toast. Find out about the impact of avocados here.
- A few slices of rye bread
- 1 cup of peas
- Half a lemon
- Chilli flakes
- Olive oil
1. Cook the peas for a few minutes
2. Toast the rye bread
3. Blend the peas, basil, lemon, olive oil, salt and pepper together
4. Place the puree on toast. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle some chilli flakes over it.
